The Client

Connected by 25 is an organization, originally created by United Way of Central Indiana, focusing on providing children in foster care with opportunities to learn how to be self-sustaining by age 25.

The Challenge

When separating into a stand-alone nonprofit, Connected by 25 realized they needed a partner with nonprofit and accounting expertise to help them understand exactly what they needed to know, ensuring their organization’s mission and vision would be financially supported.

The Solution

Starting from scratch, Foster Results worked with staff to create a chart of accounts, develop a general ledger system and create best practice financial procedures.  The Foster team provided leadership and answered questions while working with the staff, the Board of Directors and United Way of Central Indiana.

The Foster team continues to provide Controllership services for Connected by 25.
